We have an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to join our Business Intelligence Team on a fixed-term basis for 18 months.
The role sits within the Digital Services department and is responsible for defining data standards and models for warehouse architectures. The objective of this role will be to create and maintain the Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions, this includes, for example, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, Reporting Services, ETL, Power BI, PowerPivot and SSAS. We are also looking to improve the way in which we make data available and are promoting self-serve reporting.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work well as part of a team, enjoy working in a collaborative environment and has a real willingness to develop the Groups understanding and can put the customer at the heart of decision making.
Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):
1.Takes responsibility for the delivery of information services to clients across the business and for ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is continually maintained including developing and implementing new strategies for improving service delivery in line with the ITIL service management framework.2.develop engaging dashboards that are in accordance with the operational and strategic needs of the business3.Work with end users to identify, create, and deliver reports according to requirements.4.Create models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores.5.Design and manage data warehouse improvement and growth projects.6.Diagnose and resolve data warehouse access and performance issues.
This is a crucial post and the successful candidate must have significant experience of a SQL Server data warehouse environment, strong TSQL querying knowledge, at least 3 years’ experience of the full MS BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS) and experience of predictive analysis would be beneficial.
You will have/be:
1.significant experience of a SQL Server data warehouse environment2.strong TSQL querying knowledge3.at least 3 years’ experience of the full MS BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS)4.Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.5.Significant, demonstrable experience of working on the design, development, administration and maintenance of BI reports and interactive dashboards to support efficient analysis and reporting in a Microsoft environment.
